原文摘要 | The fertilizer formulations namely, CM - the composted chicken manure (a local formulation commonly used by farmers) were evaluated in combination with seven levels of biochar (0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30%) and plant in the pots to enhance growth, yield and quality of the Ocimum basilicum in the acid soil (pH= 3,8-4,2) that located on the Sen Viet Farm, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh city, Viet Nam. The increase of 30% biochar some time makes the plant die and was not progressing of the Ocimum basilicum yield. At the concentration of twenty (20%) and twenty five percent (25%) biochar increased the growth and yield of the Ocimum basilicum plant, the yield increase 80% compared to the control and increased 120% compared to the local formulation. These combinations between biochar and CM at the suitable rates significantly improve the plant growth, the leaf weight (biomass) and the quality of leaf. Besides, the soil quality become better (pH=6,0-6,5). Hence the local compost formulation of in combination with 20% of biochar is recommended for better yield of Ocimum basilicum. |
